Hey, I'm Gunnar

I'm a software engineer based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Most of my career has been building backend systems and full-stack products in .NET and React across a few different industries.

Right now I'm co-owner and sole developer of a healthcare staffing platform my brother and I started. I handle everything from the database schema to the Terraform config to the UI. It has been great to mix in the business side of things too. Working with customers on requirements and features, helping out with sales, and all other aspects of the business.

Outside of work, I like to be outdoors to stay active. Pounding pavement, planting vegetables in the garden, and just hanging outside on a nice day.

I like to support local businesses in the community, especially ones that share my values. That's part of why I offer landing page builds for business of all sizes and budgets.

I'm a pretty big advocate of online data privacy. Nothing like getting an ad for something a few minutes after you were talking about it at home. I try to support businesses that respect their users' privacy whenever I can.

Whenever possible, I love traveling with my wife. We spent a few weeks in Italy last year, and actually packed up from Nebraska and spent the winter in the 30A area of Florida while I was getting the healthcare staffing platform development over the finish line. I missed out on a pretty epic Nebraska Basketball season, but I could get used to skipping out on the cold Nebraska winters.
